Leighton Contractors Philippines Inc – Therma South Power Station
On 2nd April East Link Consulting were awarded a commission to provide procurement services to Leighton Contractors Philippines Inc on their Therma South Power Station Project. The Project consists of the design, engineering, procurement, construction, installation and commissioning of the Power Facility on a site spanning the boundary of Davao City and Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur in the Philippines.
In summary the Project involves:
- 2-150 Megawatt circulating fluidized-bed (CFB) coal-fired power plant being developed for Therma South Inc. a wholly owned subsidiary of Aboitiz Power Corporation.
- The Project is designed to address the Mindanao region’s power supply needs.
- 120 meter diameter coal storage dome
- Coal conveyors
- Ship unloader and stacker reclaimer
- 1,500m of 2.5 meter diameter circulating water mains
- Circulating water intake structure
- Project wide piling
- Site infrastructure
- Ash lagoons
- Power island
- Coal unloading jetty
- Temporary unloading jetty
- Site wide ancillary buildings.
- The Project shall be delivered by the consortium project team of Leighton Contractors (Philippines), Inc. (“LCPI”) and Black and Veatch International (“BVI”).
